VMMS I.B. World Night Event

Client:

Vista Magnet Middle School – An International Baccalaureate Magnet School; part of Vista Unified School District in Vista, California

Challenge:

Background – Each year, the school hosts an Open House night during the spring semester, and the faculty voted to transform this evening at their school.  The typical Open House night usually consists of families walking from classroom to classroom with their children to see their work from the year.  Vista Magnet Middle School decided to create a community event with interactive classrooms, activities, and performances.

Challenge – The carnival-like atmosphere of the night required that activities were spread across the campus, so they needed to create a some type of a flyer or guide to help visitors plan their evening around the school without missing a thing!

Solutions:

Interactive Passport Flyer – I partnered with the planning team to design a “passport” students and their families could use to collect stamps at each activity.  This encouraged every visitor to move throughout the campus without missing out on the fun! I also included a schedule of the live performances, as well as the important details of the night –  because no one wants to miss out on the taco truck!
